Exclusive Interview with Mohbad’s Father: The Real Story Behind His Success

Mr. Joseph Aloba, father of the late musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has claimed that his son used his spiritual glory to achieve fame in Nigeria before his untimely death.

In a newly surfaced video, Mr. Aloba revealed that the pastor of Wunmi, Mohbad’s widow, informed the family that Mohbad was using his glory to advance his music career. Mr. Aloba also mentioned that despite Mohbad’s success and use of his glory to generate income, he never received financial support from his son. Instead, Mohbad provided money to his mother and even opened shops for her.

In his words, “My son was using my glory. Wunmi’s pastor told Wunmi that it’s my glory Mohbad was using. My son had money but didn’t give me; he was giving his mother millions. When I got to where he rented three shops for his mother, I was marveled.”

“I was like, ‘You have millions, but have you maintained a 500k shop before, let alone three shops worth 20 million?’ Mohbad’s mother was the one taking all the money. She doesn’t even know the school Mohbad attended, let alone any of his school friends. But, as fate would have it, where is the money today?”

Mr. Aloba also mentioned tensions between Mohbad and his widow, Wunmi, saying, “Wunmi was leaving the house angrily for three days because of the text messages she saw on Mohbad’s phone.”

It is worth noting that the autopsy conducted on Mohbad’s body has been inconclusive in determining the cause of his death. Following the autopsy results, Mr. Aloba and his wife have been at odds, revealing more personal conflicts and secrets.
