Police Intervene in Kidnapping of Kaduna Traditional Leader, Wife Remains Missing
In a dramatic turn of events on Wednesday night, the Kaduna State Police Command thwarted an attempted kidnapping of Alhaji Umar Musa, the Paramount Ruler of Ninzo Chiefdom in Sanga Local Government Area. The audacious attack by armed gunmen, however, resulted in the disappearance of the chief’s wife, whose whereabouts remain unknown.
ASP Mansir Hassan, the spokesperson for the Kaduna State Police Command, confirmed the incident, stating, “Security operatives have been deployed to the forests around Sanga in a relentless search for the chief’s wife.”
The Ninzo Development Association expressed outrage over the incident in a statement signed by its President, Prof. Moses Audi, and Secretary, Silas Anche. They condemned the attempted abduction and the subsequent disappearance of the royal spouse, while calling for calm and urging the government to fulfill its responsibility to protect citizens.
As the search continues, the local community remains on edge, hoping for a swift and safe return of the chief’s wife.
