Music Legend Celine Dion to Earn N3bn for Solo Act at Olympics Ceremony
Celine Dion is set to make a triumphant return to the stage with a one-off performance at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, earning an astounding $2 million (approximately N3 billion) for a single song.
The 56-year-old music icon had stepped back from her career after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) in 2022, a rare neurological disorder. Now, she is gearing up for her highly anticipated comeback in France.
According to TMZ, sources have revealed that Celine is “getting ready to take the stage Friday” and will receive $2 million for her performance. This exciting news comes on the heels of her recent appearance at the Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris.
Celine has long dreamed of returning to Paris and seeing the Eiffel Tower again. Despite her health challenges, she is reportedly “feeling fine” and ready to perform.
In a recent interview with Vogue France, Celine candidly discussed her SPS diagnosis and her determination to return to the stage. “I have this illness for some unknown reason. The way I see it, I have two choices. Either I train like an athlete and work super hard, or I switch off and it’s over. I stay at home, listen to my songs, stand in front of my mirror, and sing to myself,” she explained.
Celine continued, “I’ve chosen to work with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with a medical team. I want to be the best I can be. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again!”
Celine Dion’s upcoming performance at the Paris Olympics is not just a comeback but a testament to her resilience and unwavering spirit. Fans worldwide eagerly await her return to the stage.
