Pepsi® Unveils New Visual Identity After 14 Years with Spectacular Landmark Takeovers in Lagos

Lagos, Nigeria, June 3, 2024 – Pepsi®, a global beverage leader, has officially revealed its new logo and visual identity in Nigeria, marking the first major change in 14 years. This bold step signifies Pepsi®’s commitment to innovation, creativity, and maintaining cultural relevance.

To celebrate the launch, Pepsi® staged a mesmerizing digital spectacle, transforming two of Nigeria’s most iconic landmarks—the National Theatre in Lagos and the Abuja City Gate. Using stunning digital animation, the brand brought its new identity to life, showcasing its iconic bottle emerging from the top of the Lagos masterpiece, while the City Gate welcomed the arrival of the new label.

“This brand refresh is not just a logo update; it marks the dawn of a new era for Pepsi®,” stated Marius Vorster, Marketing Director for PepsiCo West, East, and Central Africa (WECA). “By transforming iconic landmarks and creating captivating virtual experiences, we reaffirm our commitment to innovation, creativity, and fostering deep cultural connections.”

The new look introduces electric blue and black, adding a contemporary edge to the classic Pepsi® color scheme. The new signature Pepsi® pulse evokes the “ripple, pop, and fizz” of Pepsi®-Cola, moving to the beat of music, the roar of the crowd, and the heartbeat of culture.
